9th March 2013
Blue skies, warm sunshine, still air. This – the weather for the past ten days – bore no resemblance to that at today’s 50 DTL shoot.Fuelled by freshly-baked pies (expertly cooked by our new catering manager Stewart), twenty-three guns braved a bitter wind to face challenging targets that ducked, dived and dodged the shooter’s pellets in the strong gusts.
Competition:
High gun was J MacIntyre on 138 / 150
Second place on 137 was D MacColl
Third Place H MacFadyen on 136
Best round of the day was G Crawford with 25/72. Commendable considering the gusts.
Full results below.
Pool Trap:Eric MacAlistair was unchallenged on the pool trap today with a magnificent display of sporting clay shooting. No-one else could match his two 8/8 scores shot early in the day, and he walked away with the Vodka.
Our thanks to all those who turned out, especially to those who travelled considerable distance to support the shoot.
